ROOSEVELT SQUARE

The Roosevelt Square-ABLA Homes redevelopment, facilitated by the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), encompassed Work Package 4, focusing on the renovation of 184 residential units distributed across 38 existing three-story masonry buildings of diverse architectural types. Of the 184 total units, 127 units were owned by CHA and 57 units of the units are affordable rental housing for a total gross area of 207,965 SF with 9,850 SF of retail space. No work was scheduled in the retail spaces. These scattered-site buildings, originally constructed between 2004 and 2006, underwent comprehensive renovation. The scope of work included site repairs, enhancements to the exterior envelope, and interior cosmetic upgrades to the residential units. Additionally, mechanical equipment underwent replacement to ensure the overall revitalization of these structures.
